Image"What sign will you give to show us that we should believe in you?" John 6:30 Jesus is the sign and you can spend an hour with Him and other young Catholics at Six30 Holy Hour, each week at St Patrick's Cathedral....

Every Thursday night, young people from all over Melbourne gather at St Patrick's Cathedral to spend an hour with Jesus at Six30.

As Catholics we believe that Christ is really present in the Eucharist. The Six30 Holy Hour brings young people together to adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, to reflect on the day’s Gospel, to pray and sing hymns together, and to experience the healing power of confession.

Weekly adoration at the Cathedral began in 2000, after pilgrims who attended World Youth Day in Rome sought a regular chance for young people to adore the Lord together on a regular basis. The youth that come to Six30 come from all walks of life and includes secondary school and university students, young professionals, young nuns and brothers.

Six30 is led by a bishop, priest, or religious brother or sister and concludes with Benediction. The Blessed Sacrament remains exposed for sometime after Benediction so that young people can continue with personal prayer.

The best way to understand how Jesus is really present in the Holy Eucharist is to come along to Six30and see for yourself what adoration is all about.

Enter via the path in Cathedral Place, East Melbourne (Melway ref: 2G, A1) just before 6.30pm – there will be people at the side door to greet you.

Afterwards, you can meet and have dinner together with other young Catholics at Café on Bourke, (50 Bourke Street, Melbourne) - just a short stroll from the Cathedral.
