Final Quo Vadis for 2007
On a warm November evening at Holy Spirit Parish in East Thornbury, twenty-five young men gathered for the Quo Vadis? end-of-year function.
As always at Quo Vadis?, the evening began with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the Church, followed by Vespers.
After praying together, everyone adjourned to the courtyard behind the presbytery for a bar-be-que meal and conviviality.
This was an opportunity for young men who have have been discerning their vocation this year to meet current seminarians in a pleasant, friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
It was noteworthy how the seminarians moved about amongst the newcomers, making them feel welcome and including them in the general banter. Nick Pearce, a fourth year seminarian, manned the bbq tools and did the cooking, while others helped with pouring drinks, and passing salads.
