Our role is to: § Nurture a culture of vocations in the parishes and schools of the Archdiocese § Encourage young men to consider that God may be calling them to the Diocesan Priesthood § Accompany and assist those who are discerning their vocation § Facilitate selection of candidates for the priesthood for entry to Corpus Christi College Seminary § Offer information and encouragement to men and women interested in other vocations within the Catholic Church § Prepare resources for International World Day of Prayer for Vocations (Good Shepherd Sunday) and National Vocations Awareness Week. The Director of Catholic Vocations Melbourne is Rev Fr Anthony F Denton STL who is also the Chaplain to Melbourne’s World Youth Day Office. Among other responsibilities he conducts monthly Quo Vadis? (Where are you going?) Reflection Evenings and an Annual Retreat for Young Men, in addition to weekly visits to schools around Melbourne and responsibility for the weekly Six30 Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration for young people held at St Patrick’s Cathedral.
