On Saturday 14th July 2007 our Seminarians will rejoice with me at the ordination of Fr Andrew Keswick to the Priesthood for the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

We welcome all our prishioners to be with us for this ordination which is a great occasion for the Church.

A priest is another Christ, giving his mind, heart, words and deeds to pointing the way to Christ and walking with God's people making them holy, teaching and caring for them.  It is the most wonderful vocation in the world.

We invite other young men to "come follow me" as Jesus said.

Rev Andrew Kewsick was born in 1981, the last of four children.  Andrew attended Holy Family Primary School in Doveton and completed his secondary schooling at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, Braybrook.  After his final year of high school, he entered Corpus Christi seminary in Carlton.  In the winter of 2003, Andrew was sent to Rome, Italy to complete his Bachelor of Theology degree and begin post-graduate studies.  Throughout his years in the seminary Andrew has grown in his desire to serve Christ and his Church.  He is encouraged by the support of family and friends.  Andrew looks forward to spending his life working to build up the Kingdom through his ministry as a priest in the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

All are invited to Fr Andrew's ordination on Saturday, 14th of July at St Patrick's Cathedral at 10.00 am, and his Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, 15th of July at Mary MacKillop Church, Keilor Downs at 2.30 pm.
